The Web Site Interface Menu

Purpose

Rental Car Manager (RCM) has an optional Web Site Interface that allows you to integrate your existing website with RCM.

The diagram below shows how bookings received from a web site are processed and then released.

All bookings received from your website are created as unallocated bookings in RCM.    The interface allows you to  confirm the booking and send  and automatically send an  email confirmation to the customer confirming the details of the booking.

The Web Site Interface menu allows you to manage the requirements of your website by changing the rules from within Rental Car Manager.

Here are some examples of rules that can be changed in Rental Car Manager which will change the way your website behaves:
  1. Specify if a location is available for bookings via your web site.
  2. Specify the minimum booking days required for bookings from your web site.
  3. Specify if after hours bookings are accepted and if after hours fees are charged.
  4. Control what categories of vehicle are available for web bookings.
  5. If certain categories are heavily booked allow your website to display a warning.
  6. Change the number of adults, children and amount of luggage a vehicle category can carry.
  7. Set the extra fees available for booking on your web site (e.g. baby seats, insurance options, GPS).
  8. Specify relocation fees for one way bookings and automatically apply fees to these bookings.
