Purpose
Relocation fees allow you to automatically charge for extra for bookings with a specific combination of pickup and drop-off locations. The pickup and drop-off locations can be the same location, however Relocation Fees are often associated with one-way rentals. This refers to bookings where the vehicle is picked up from one location and then dropped off in another location.
You will first need to set up the Relocation fee to be charged in your Extra Fees area. For more info on setting up relocation fees see the Relocation Fees article.
You can then setup Web Relocation Records that allow you to specify which relocation rules are applicable on your website. This is done by setting the Web Available flag to "Yes".
Accessing Web Relocations
Web Relocations can be found under the Website Interface menu by going to Website Interface >> Web Relocation

Prioritising web relocation records
When a booking request comes through your website, it will filter through your Web Relocation records to find the most appropriate one for the booking. It does this through the following process.
- It will find all the Web Relocation Records with the appropriate Pickup and Dropoff Locations.
- Of these, it will then find all the records against the selected Vehicle Category. If there are no Web Relocations set up for the selected category, it will use the All Category records.
- It will then sort for the records with a date range that encompasses the Pickup Date of the booking. If there are multiple date ranges that do this, it will select the records with the Pickup Start Date closest to the bookings specified Pickup Date. If it cannot find a record with the correct date range, it will use the ones without a date range.
- Of the remaining records, it will then select the record with the largest Minimum Days, that is still applicable to the booking.
