Referrals

As a Rental Car Company you may have individuals, businesses or organisations that may refer customers to you. In some of these cases you may have an agreement in place where you pay some form of commission to these referrers. Rental Car Manager (RCM) allows you to track these referrals against the relevant bookings and also provides reporting on any associated commissions. You are also able to apply discounts to these bookings based upon the agreement you have in place with the referrer.

You are able to setup your referrals within RCM using the Referral Setup screen - Please see the Referral article for more information.

When you create both extra fees and insurances, you are able to state whether any referral commissions will be applied to these extra fees on bookings. Please see the Extra Fees and Insurance Fees articles for more information.

You can record a referral against a booking when it is entered by an operator. Please see the Referrals article that details how to do this Referral.

You are able to set up a link which your referral can put on their website, When a customer makes a booking request via this link the referrer will be recorded against the booking. If you are interested in having this available, you will need to get in touch with RCM Support (support@rentalcarmanager.com) and they will walk you through the process.

All commissions given to a referrer are reflected in the Referrals Commission Report generated from Rental Car Manager - Referrals Commission Report

These commissions are often based on the percentage of the booking fees that the referred customer pays to you. Depending on your agreement with your referral partners, you can also provide discounts to referred customers.
