Category Upgrade/Downgrade Report
Purpose:
The Category Upgrade/Downgrade Report allows you to easily see any bookings with the date range where the category that was assigned to the booking when it was originally created, is not the same category that is against the booking.
Accessing Category Upgrade/Downgrade Report:
Reports >> Hireage and Sales Reports >> Category Upgrade/Downgrade
Parameters/Filters:
Brand | If the branding function has been turned on within your RCM system, this report can be run for All Brands or a specific brand. |
Pickup Location | This report can be run for All Locations or for a specific location. |
Category | This report can be run for All Categories or a specific category. |
Agent Bookings only | If you are only wanting to report on Agent bookings, check this box. |
Report Date Range Type | This report can be run for one of the following date ranges:
- Pickup Date
- Drop Off Date
- Date Entered

Report Date Range
| The date range this report will be run for. |
Example:
Res # | The reservation number of the booking.
Clicking on the red reservation number will open the Booking Details screen. |
Agent | The agent that has been assigned to the booking. |
Rental Source | The rental source that has been assigned to the booking. |
Pick Up | The pickup location of the booking. |
Pick Up Date | The pickup date of the booking. |
Status | The status of the booking. |
Category Booked | The category that was assigned to the booking when it was created. |
Category Provided | The category that is currently against the booking/ |
# of days in hire | The number of rental days for this booking. |
Booked Daily Rate | The daily rental rate that that was assigned to the booking when it was created. |
Hire Daily Rate | The current daily rental rate against the booking. |
Loss/Positive $ per Day | The difference in price for the Booked and Hired Daily Rates. This will show as a negative amount if the booked amount was higher. |
Loss/Positive $ Total | The total difference in price for the Booked and Hired Rental Revenue. This will show as a negative amount if the booked amount was higher. |
Points to Note:
- Bookings will only appear in this report if the booked and hired categories are different.
