Assigning Customer's Personal Insurance to a Booking

Overview

In some countries customers are able to use their personal vehicle insurance when renting a vehicle. The ability to add the information about the customer's personal insurance to a booking within Rental Car Manager (RCM) exists.

If you do not see any of the screens or tabs discussed in this article, this function may need to be setup for you. If this is the case contact RCM Support (support@rentalcarmanager.com). 

Adding Customer's Insurance to Booking

You can add the customer's personal insurance information from the "Booking Documents" tab in the Booking Form, see below. Simply click on the "Borrowers Agent or Insurance Co." button.



You then click on the "Add Customer Insurance" link, see below.



You enter the information in the relevant fields shown in the screen below. You can add in new Insurance Agents to choose from via the Insurance Agent screen found in the Customer Maintenance area.



Showing Insurance Information on Customer Documents

If you wish to show this Customer insurance information on any of the documents that are sent through to customer, you will have to contact RCM Support (support@rentalcarmanager.com) to see what is possible.
