April 2024: Customer Company Preferred Insurance
RCM now allows you to set a Preferred Insurance against Customer Companies. This means that any bookings made against this Company will automatically select and use this insurance option.
This preferred insurance can be set of the Customer Company page, accessed by going Reservation >> Customer Maintenance >> Company.
When you update or create a new company from this page, at the bottom of the screen there will be a field called "Insurance Preference".
Please note, when you make a booking in RCM, the booking will search for a valid insurance option to use in the following order:
- Is there a valid insurance option set as the customer's Preferred Insurance? If so, select this option.
- If there is a Customer Company against the booking, is there a valid insurance option set against this company? If so, select this option.
- Is there an insurance option set to "Display as default" that can apply to this booking? If so, select the one with the correct vehicle category, location, age and date restrictions.
- If none of the above are found, leave the insurance field empty,
