Insurance Tab

Purpose

The Insurance tab is an additional tab on the booking form that allows you to record information specific to a demurrage booking. For more information about using RCM for demurrage bookings, read the following article, Demurrage Bookings Overview.
This tab will appear when the company setup in RCM has been flagged as an insurance company, or if the Branding function has been turned on, and the selected Brand is marked as an Insurance Company.
As this information may not apply in all situations, there are no mandatory fields. There are four collapsible sections on this tab that each contain specific information, they are:
  1. Accident 
  2. Client Vehicle
  3. Repair
  4. Third Party

Accident

The Accident section is where you can enter information regarding the accident that lead to the insurance claim. 



Date
The date on which the accident occurred.
Location
The Location where the accident happened.
Witness Name
The name of the person who witnessed the accident.
Witness Phone
The phone number of the witness.
Witness Email
The Email address of the witness.
Police Event No
The identifying number of the police accident report.
Police Station
The station where the police officer, to whom the accident was reported, works
Police Phone
The phone number of the police officer to whom the accident was reported.
Police Email
The email address of the police officer to whom the accident was reported.
Description
A description of the accident that occurred.

Client Vehicle

This section is where you can enter information regarding clients damaged vehicle.


Rego
The registration number of the customer's vehicle.
Make
The make of the customer's vehicle.
Model
The model of the customer's vehicle.
Year
The production year of the customer's vehicle.
Vehicle Drivable
This is a dropdown with two option:
  1. Yes - The vehicle is drivable.
  2. No - The vehicle is not drivable.
Recovery Agent
The name of the company that recovered the vehicle after the accident.
Insurer
The name of the customers Insurance company.
This dropdown displays the records setup on the Insurance Agent page in RCM. 
Claim No
The claim number assigned to the Insurance Claim made with the customer's Insurance company.
Repairer/Estimate No
The identification number assigned to the quote from the repairer.

Repair

This section is where you can add information about the dates and the names of the companies or people involved in each step of the repair.


Quoted Date
The date when the quote for the repair was created.
Quoted Name
The name of the person or company that made the quote for the repair.
Assessed Date
The date when the assessment for the repair was performed.
Assessed Name
The name of the person or company that made the assessment for the repair.
Approved Date
The date when the repair was approved.
Approved Name
The name of the person or company that approved the repair.
Date in Shop
The date when the vehicle was delivered to the repair shop.
Repairer Name
The name of the person or company that are repairing the vehicle.
Repair Started
The date when the repair started.
Repair Completed
The date when the repair was completed.

Third Party

This is the section where you can add information about a third party that was involved in the accident, if applicable. 


Name
The name of the third party involved in the accident.
Phone
The phone number of the third party involved in the accident.
Email
The email address of the third party involved in the accident.
Address
The address of the third party involved in the accident.
Rego
The registration number of the third party vehicle involved in the accident.
Insurer
The third party's Insurance company.
This dropdown displays the records setup on the Insurance Agent page in RCM.  
Claim No
The identification number of the claim the third party made to their Insurance company.
Liability accepted.
This shows whether the third party has accepted responsibility for the accident. One of the following options can be chosen here:
  1. Yes - The third party has accepted liability for the accident.
  2. No - The third part has not accepted liability for the accident.
  3. Not Sure - You do not know whether the liability was be accepted.
