Credit Card Payment by Email

Purpose

The Email Credit Card Link feature allows you to send your customers a link which they can follow to enter their credit card details. The credit card details entered will be used as a payment method for their reservation.

The Email Credit Card Link settings and template can be changed under the Manage System Emails function in the System Setup menu.
System Setup >> Manage System Emails

After clicking on the Manage System Emails icon, you will be taken to the System Email Settings. From here you want to click on the "Bookings - All Other Emails" option and click on "Email Credit Card Link".


After doing so, you can enter and update the following information:
  1. Select whether you want the template to be active or not.
  2. Enter the Email Subject.
  3. Specify the address the Email is sent from.
  4. Email Copy to Sender and / or another specified email.
  5. Enter or update the Email contents.
Make sure you click the Save button to update changes.


You can send a CC link email from the details page for a reservation. The reservation details page can be accessed from various places in RCM.
In this article the reservation details will be accessed from the Reservation Enquiry and Update page.
1. To navigate to the Email Credit Card Link page, first open the Reservation Enquiry and Update page (Reservations >> Reservation Enquiry and Update).
2. From the Reservation Enquiry and Update page find reservations for which you want to send Credit card Links using the search criteria.


3. Once matching reservations are displayed, click the reservation number in red.


4. Clicking the reservation number will open the reservation details page where you can click on the "Credit Card Link" button.


5. The Email Credit Card Link pop up will then open, where you can:
  1. Enter the Sender & Recipients 
  2. Include a message
  3. Add any further attachments
  4. Preview and then Send the email


Once you click "Send message", the email will be sent to the customer.

Edit Credit Card Entry page template

The Online Credit Card Entry template allows you to edit what will be shown on the credit card entry page that is linked to from the credit card email.
1. Open the Edit Template page (System Setup >> Agreement & Other Templates >> Online Credit Card Entry (Email CC Link)).


2. Once you've finished editing the template click "Submit" to save your changes. Customers will now see the contents of the template on the credit card entry page.
