Purpose
The Seasons setup table allows you to define the seasons you will use to determine your rates.
Seasons refer to the periods of time over which a specific rate will apply for reservations made. For example Reservations in your Summer or 'Peak' season may have a higher rate than Reservations in your Winter or 'Low' season.
You can set up as many seasons as required and call them whatever you wish.
RCM provides a 'Default' season that always exists and cannot be deleted or maintained. If you are not using seasons or a season does not exist for the period of the rental, the default season rates are used.
It is not compulsory to define seasons before you can start using Rental Car Manager.
To ensure that the number of reservation days across seasons are calculated correctly, when entering seasons that fall on consecutive days, the end and start dates must be the same.

Accessing Seasons
Seasons can be found under the System Setup menu.

Maintaining Seasons for your Locations
You can view the seasons for a specific location by clicking on the drop down of the locations as well as the year you want to view. Then click "select".
To Add New Seasons
Click "Add Seasons".
You will then be taken to the New Seasons page. Here you:
- Select the location to which the season is applicable. You can add this New Season Record to all locations if there isn't already overlapping records that already exist.
- Enter the season name.
- Define a start date for the season.
- Define an end date for the season.
Click "Submit" to save the record and close the New Season page. On the main Seasons page, you'll see the record added to the list of seasons.
Update or Delete a Season record
