Q. Which Insurance options are displayed for online bookings?


When you setup insurance options within RCM you can choose to set them up to be restricted to either Category Type or Vehicle Category. Please see the following two Knowledge Base articles, the first is about setting up the insurance options and the second is about updating them for access for online bookings. 
  1. Insurance Fees article
  2. Web Insurance article
When an online booking request is made the following logic is used to determine which options will be displayed for the customer to choose from.
  1. If Category specific records are found for Insurance options, these are the only ones displayed on your website. 
  2. The Category Type is then checked, if any are found, these are the only ones that will be displayed.
  3. Then a check will then be made for any Insurance options without Categories or Category Types assigned.
