Fixed Rate Discount
Purpose
Fixed Rate discounts are applied to the reservation's grand total. As the name suggest, this discount can only be set as a fixed discount on a total amount, e.g. $20 off $200. To do this you need to create or select an existing fixed extra fee to assign to the discount. This fee would generally be setup with a negative amount. This discount can be limited to:
- Location
- Web or Agent available, e.g. able to be selected when booking online or through an agent
- Category and Vehicle Category Type
- Bookings that are over or under a certain amount of days
- Bookings that occur between a certain date range
- Bookings created within a certain date range

Accessing Fixed Rate Discount
The Fixed Rate Discount page can be found under the Website Interface menu.
Web Site Interface >> Additional Fees >> Fixed Rate Discount
Viewing and Adding Fixed Rate Discounts
To view all existing records for a particular pickup location, select the location from the drop down box and then click "Select". You can also view by all locations.
To add a new Fixed Rate Discount, click "Add Fixed Rate Discount".
This will open the New Fixed Rate Discount page where you can set up the new record. Once completed click "Submit" to save. For more information see the "Field Descriptions" under the following image.
Field Descriptions
Pickup Location | Select the pickup location where this discount will apply. "All Locations" can also be selected. |
Dropoff Location | Select the drop off location where this discount will apply. "All Locations" can also be selected. |
Web Available | Select whether or not this discount can be selected from online bookings. |
Agent Available | Select whether or not this discount can be selected through Agents. |
| Category Type | Select the category type. "All Categories" can be selected. |
Vehicle Category | Select the vehicle category. "All Category" can be selected. |
Booking Date To and From Dates | Set the dates the booking will need to be created within for this discount to be applied. |
Pickup to and From Dates | Set the dates when this discount will apply. |
Minimum Booking Days | Set the minimum amount of days this discount can be applied to. |
Rate Discount Extra Fee (Fixed Only) | Select a pre existing fixed extra fee from the drop down list. |
Campaign Code | Select a pre existing campaign code from the drop down list. |
