Purpose
Do Not Rent records refer to customers who have been blacklisted and barred from renting vehicles for any number of reasons. Once customers are tagged as "Do Not Rent", they will not be able to rent vehicles until they are removed from the Do Not Rent list. If a customer has a Do Not Rent record against them when trying to make a booking, a warning screen prompt will occur.
Note: Bookings for a "Do Not Rent" customer will NOT be allowed if any of the following criteria are matched:
- A new Customers License Number matches any "Do Not Rent" License number.
- A new Customers Email match a "Do Not Rent" customer.
- A new Customers Mobile match a "Do Not Rent" customer.
- A new Customers Passport matches a "Do Not Rent" customer, if your RCM system is set up to record customers passport numbers.
- An existing Customer has a "Do Not Rent" reason set.
Accessing the Do Not Rent List
The Do Not Rent List tab can be found under the Customer Maintenance submenu in Reservations.

Add a Do Not Rent Record
Click "Add Do Not Rent List" to add a new record.
On the Add Do Not Rent List page (see image below), enter the Do Not Rent customer's details. When entering the information, please note the following:
- The Last Name and Do Note Rent Reason are the only mandatory fields. The Do Not Rent Reason will be a dropdown of the options set up in your system, see the following article: Do Not Rent Reason for more information.
- The other fields are not mandatory, however without an email address, license, passport or mobile number recorded, there will be nothing to match this Do Not Rent Record with on new bookings.
- The Passport number field will only appear if your System Parameters are setup to record customers passport numbers.
- If your system is setup to validate the format of mobile numbers, the Mobile must be entered in correct, international format. If you have selected a country, you will be prompted to enter it in that country's format, but you can enter it in any valid one.
- The Res # field allows you to enter the Reservation Number of the booking that resulted in this customer being marked as Do Not Rent.
Click "SUBMIT" to save the Do Not Rent record. The customer will no longer be able to rent vehicles from you.
