Weekend Rate
Purpose
RCM allows you to create rates that can be applied to bookings based upon the day of the week, the pickup and drop off times and the number of days hired. These rates will be applied in place of the rates that are set up for the seasons. IE - This rate will overwrite your seasonal rates. These rates can also be restricted to Locations and Vehicle Categories.
Accessing the Weekend Rates
The Weekend Rate tab can be found under the Rates icon under the System Setup Menu.

Adding and Viewing Weekend Rate Records
To view any existing rates for all or a specific location, choose the location and click on "Select"
The preexisting records will display.
To add a new weekend rate, click "Add Weekend Rate".
On the new Weekend Rate page, you can enter the mandatory and optional fields. Click submit to save the new Weekend Rate.

Weekend Rate Field Descriptions
Location | Select from the drop down box what location the rate will apply to. This can be set to a certain or all locations. |
Category | Select from the drop down box what vehicle category the rate will apply to. |
Pickup Day | Select from the drop down box what day the rate will start from. eg - pick up day: Sunday. |
No. of Days | Select from the drop down box the number of days the booking needs to be for so this rate applies. |
Time Start | Select the start time for the vehicle hire. Leaving this blank will set the rate time for 12am. |
Time End | Select the end time for the vehicle hire. Leaving this blank will set the rate time til 12am. |
Daily Rate | Enter the daily rate. |
Inactive | Select whether you want this rate to be inactive or not. |
Note | Add any additional notes to do with the weekend rate. |
Update or Delete a Weekend Rate

Points to Note
- If you have multiple records with different time starts, the rate applied will be determined by the pickup time of the booking in relation to the time start.
- If the number of days is 1 and the time end is 00:00 this specifies a same day drop off.
- If the number of days is 1 and the time end is anything other than 00:00 this specifies a next day drop off.
- The customer must pick up the vehicle after the time start and drop off the vehicle before the time end.
- Enabling Weekend Rates: The System Parameter "Use Weekend Rate" under the Rate Parameters heading must be set to "Yes" for the weekend rates to be applied.
Weekend Rate Availability
This function is available as standard to clients using the Web API. However, If you are using the web booking steps, you will need to contact support@rentalcarmanager.com to request an update to allow for the use of the weekend rates.
