Purpose
The Web Category Availability options allow you to set which categories of vehicles are available at which locations based on a date range. You can also set the minimum number of booking days.
The Web Category Availability record will have one of the following statuses:
Available for Booking Free Sale
There are vehicles available - if the customer selects this category, an unallocated booking will be made.
Might be Available
This is generally used when only a few vehicles remain available and you don't want to risk a double booking - if the customer selects this category, an 'on request' booking will be made
Not Available
The customer will be advised that this category is not available
Points to Note
You must first add an `Available for Booking (free sale)` status record to make a vehicle category available. Note that date ranges do NOT apply to these `Available for Booking (free sale)` records.
Once the Available record is created, you can now add `Might be Available` and `Not Available` status records over specific date ranges. These over-ride availability for the specified date periods.
Vehicle Categories are only displayed if the `Web Available` field is set to `Yes` in the `Web Vehicle Categories` page. ( see below)
Records with date ranges take priority over records with no date ranges.
Multiple records may be added, however dates must not overlap for the same combination.
Vehicle will not be available if any renting date is in the unavailable Start Date and End Date range, not just the pickup dates in the date range
Vehicle will be available if pickup date between the Start Date and End Date range
Categories displayed on your website or API will depend on the selected `Category Type`, if no `Category Type` is selected then all available categories of vehicle will be displayed.
Note that your web locations pick up and drop off fields have to be set to "Yes" first, so they can be selected in the drop down when adding or updating a Web Category Availability record.
Accessing Web Category Availability
Web Category Availability can be found at Website Interface>Web Vehicle Categories - select the Web Category Availability tab
Select the Available Web Vehicle Categories for a Location
You are able to filter your search by Location, Category Type, and Category
Add a Web Category Availability Record
To add a Web Category Availability record, click "Add Web Category Availability".
This will open the New Web Category Availability screen where you can set up the new record.
Once you have completed the New Web Category Availability click "Submit" to save the new record.
In the Web Web Category Availability table you will see the new Web Category Vehicle you have created.
New Web Category Availability Screen Field Descriptions
Field | Description |
Pickup Location | Select a Pickup Location. All locations can also be selected.

Dropoff Location | Select a Dropoff location. All locations can also be selected. |
Vehicle Category | Select a Vehicle Category. Note that you can select all or a certain category. |
Status | Select the status. 3 options - Available, Might be available and Not available.

Min. Booking Day(s) | Enter the minimum number of booking days for the vehicle category to be available. |
Start Date | Select a Pickup start date. Note: The pickup start and end date define the date range for which the status is applicable to (The date range does not apply to the status "Available for booking (free sale)"). |
End Date | Select a Pickup end date. Note: The pickup start and end date define the date range for which the status is applicable to (The date range does not apply to the status "Available for booking (free sale)"). |
Brand | Select any brands that have been set up if necessary. |
Update Agent Cat. Avail. | Select whether you want to update agent category availability. |
