Sales By Source Report

Purpose:

The Sales By Source Report displays sales figures by booking source over a selected date range.

Accessing Sales By Source Report:

Reports >> Hireage and Sales Reports >> Sales By Source Report


Parameters/Filters:


Pickup Location
Report can be run for All Locations or a specific Pickup Location
Region
Report can be run for all regions or a specific region.
If both a Pickup Location and a Region are selected, then the Region will be applied.
Brand
Report can be all for All Brands or a specific Brand
Category Type
Report can be run for All category Types or a specific Category Type
Category
Report can be run for All Categories or a specific Category.

Campaign Code
The Report can be run using one of the following options:
  1. N/A - this means that any campaign codes against reservations will not be taken into account when running this report.
  2. All Campaign Codes - this means that only reservations with a campaign code against them will be included in this report.
  3. A Specific Campaign Code - this means that only reservations with the selected campaign code against them will be included in this report.
Booking Status
The status of the reservations included in the report.
The options are:
  1. All Bookings
  2. Hired (Include Returned)
  3. Reservations Only
  4. Returned Only
Date Type
This report can either be run where the date range applies to either the pickup date, drop off date, or the date the booking was entered.
Date Range
The date range that will be used. This will apply to either the pickup date or the date entered, depending on the date type chosen.

Rental Source
The Rental Source
Clicking on the red Rental Source will open a listing of the reservations with this Rental Source against them.
No Contracts
The total number of reservations with this Rental Source that fall within the parameters for this report.
No Contracts %
The percentage of bookings returned in this report that have this Rental Source against them.
Insurance Applied %
The percentage of bookings with this Rental Source that have had an insurance option applied.
No Days
The total number of days with this Rental Source
Rental Revenue
The total of the rental rates for reservations with this Rental Source against them.
Insurance Revenue
The total of the insurance options for reservations with this Rental Source against them.
Other Extras Revenue
The total of the extra fees against for reservations with this Rental Source against them.
Total Revenue
The total cost of the reservations with this Rental Source against them.
Revenue %
The percentage of the Total Revenue of reservation returned in this report that have this Rental Source against them.
LYTD
The total cost of the reservations with this Rental Source against them for the same time period last year.
For example if you run the report for a date range of 1/Apr/2020 -  1/Oct/2020, then the LYTD will be the total for the date range 1/Apr/2019 - 1/Oct/2019.
2YTD
The total cost of the reservations with this Rental Source against them for the same time period 2 years ago.
For example if you run the report for a date range of 1/Apr/2020 -  1/Oct/2020, then the LYTD will be the total for the date range 1/Apr/2018 - 1/Oct/2018.

Below is an example of the Drill down screen when you click on one of the Rental Sources. The drill down screen will display a listing of all of the reservations that are included in the calculations for the upper level report. If you click on the red reservation number you can see the Booking Details screen.



Points to Note:

  1. All bookings including Reservations, Hires and Returns that meet the selection criteria are reported on.
  2. The report does not include Non Revenues and Maintenance bookings
  3. Extra Revenues do not include Recovered Expenses and Bond fees.
  4. The previous years sales figures will not be included where there are no bookings for the source in the reporting period.
