Q: How can I automatically apply a discount to a regular customer?
A: To apply an automatic customer discount, you first create a Customer Discount, then apply this discount to the customer so that when the customer is selected as a repeat customer, the discount will be applied automatically.
The rate discount can also be applied to a company to which an individual customer is affiliated with, allowing the customer to benefit from the rate discount given to the company.
The below procedure details how to create and apply a rate discount in Rental Car Manager.
- Go to System Setup, then click Rate Discount.
- Click the Customer Discount Tab.
- Click the Add New Customer Discount link, enter the required information, and click Submit.
- Go to Reservations, then click Customer Maintenance.
- Select the customer or company, then select the discount you would like to apply from the Rate Discount menu (see screenshots below). For more info, see Customer Discounts article.
