New Quotation

Purpose

Rental Car Manager allows you to create a detailed quote for a customer and once confirmed,  you can "release" the quotation to a reservation. You are able to perform these operations from the'Quote Management' and 'Release Quotation' pages in the Reservations menu.

The 'Quote Management' and 'Release Quotation' pages add considerable flexibility to the way you manage your customer quotes.

If you email the quotation to the customer they may convert the quotation to a booking by clicking the link in the email (see image below).


Accessing New Quotations 

New Quotations can be found under the Reservations menu.

Reservations > New Quotation. 

Creating a New Quotation 

Clicking on the New Quotation icon will open the booking module ready for you to enter the quotation details.


The booking module also handles unallocated reservations and bookings.

Making a New Quotation is the same as making a regular reservation. The main difference being that the New Quotation page does not have a list of vehicles at the top. Replacing this is a list of vehicle categories, since the quotation must include a vehicle category.

In the "Booking Documents" when making a quotation in the booking form, you can send the customer the quote by clicking on the "Email Quotation" button. 


Overview of the New Quotation Process

1. Complete (and email) the New Quotation
2. The Release Quotation and Quote Management pages allow you to maintain and release quotations.

Once a customer has accepted a quote, it can be released  to either an unallocated booking or an allocated booking.
Allocated bookings appear as a reservation with a new number and are viewable from the reservation sheet or the reservation enquiry and update option.
