New - New Credit Card Vault

New - New Credit Card Vault

The Auric Credit Card Vault will be phased out at the end of December 2022.  This decision has been made as a result of our current supplier for the Credit Card Vault being acquired by a competitor who will no longer offer the same solution.

Rental Car Manager (RCM) has been updated to integrate with a different credit card vault. The swap over between the two vault options is seamless and you will see no noticeable difference when it comes to adding and viewing credit cards within RCM. The following article describes this new vault in more detail including the costs involved, Secure Credit Card Vault.

Unfortunately due to PCI Compliance rules RCM is unable to programmatically migrate the credit cards which are currently saved in the Auric vault across to the new credit card vault. This is something you will need to do manually. A new Token Migration screen has been developed to help you perform this task, the following article describes this in more detail, Credit Card Token Migration.

You will still be able to view the cards saved in the Auric vault until the 1st January 2023, after this, the vault will not be accessible. This is why it is important that you have migrated any cards you wish to keep across from the Auric vault to the new Credit Card vault before the 31st December 2022.

After the new credit card vault has been released, any point where a credit card is saved to the vault will be saving the cards into the new Credit Card Vault and not Auric. There is nothing that you need to do for this to happen. The following points where a card is entered will use the new vault when adding cards:
  1. An RCM operator adding a card to a booking inside of RCM
  2. A customer adding a card while making a booking request on the website.
  3. A customer adding a card when using the "Convert a Quote to Booking" function.
  4. A customer adding a card while using the Online Check-in function.
  5. A customer adding a card using the link sent out in the "Email CC Link" email.
