Purpose
Holiday charges are automatically added to bookings with pickup and/or drop off dates that fall on a date that has been set as a holiday.
For example you may want to charge an additional fee for allowing reservations with pickup or drop-off dates on Christmas Day, which is a public holiday.
The first step in creating the Holiday extra fee is setting the fee up in the 'Extra Fees' table so that you can select it when creating your holiday.
Note that the extra fee you create needs to be a 'Fixed Rate' fee. Please refer to the
Extra Fees article if you need assistance setting up the extra fee.
The Holiday Extras Fees tab is under the in the Extra Fees program within the System Setup menu.

Viewing and Adding Holiday Extra Fees
To view any pre existing records, click on the location drop down box, select the location or all locations and then click "Select" to view the results.
To add a new Holiday Extra Fee, click "Add Holiday Extra Fees".
This will open the Holiday Extra Fees page where you can create a new record.
Once you have filled in all the mandatory fields, click "Submit" to save the record.
The extra fee will then appear of the Booking Fees tab when making a booking with a pickup or dropoff date that has been set as a holiday.
Field | Description |
Pickup Location | Select the locations where the Holiday applies - you can select individual or 'All Locations'. |
Holiday Name | Enter a name for the Holiday

Date | Select the date of the Holiday

Holiday Charge | Select the Extra Fee that has been created for the holiday charge ( this would have been setup in he Extra Fees area) This extra fee should be called "Holiday Fee" or similar, and must have a 'Fixed Fee' type to appear for selection in this list.
