Purpose
From the Reservation Enquiry and Update page you can change the customer linked to the reservation. This will replace the customer record for the reservation with the new customer's record.
Important Note:
If you want to change the customer for a booking, you should not change the customer details directly in the booking as this will update all bookings that have that customer assigned.
To change a customer on a booking you should always use the "Change Customer' function on the Reservation Enquiry and Update screen. If you simply want to update the existing customer's details (phone number etc) then you can do so directly in the booking.
Change the Customer Record for a Reservation
1. From the Reservation Enquiry and Update page, search for the reservation that requires the customer change.
3. Enter the last name of the customer you want to change it to then click "View" to display a list of your existing customers
If the customer does not exist in the system you can click on the "Click here to Add a New Customer" link and add the customer.
If the customer exists, click on the Change to button for the new customer and confirm the change.

Important Note about Corporate Rates
When you change a customer on a booking a check is done to see if there will be a change in the Corporate Rate Type associated with the booking. This could happen in one of the following circumstances:
- The original customer has a Corporate Rate Type against them, but the new customer does not.
- The original customer does not have a Corporate Rate Type against them, but the new customer does.
- Both the original and the new customer both have Corporate Rate Types against them, but they are different.
You can see in Change Customer screen that there is a column showing the Corporate Rate Type against the customer.
When you search for a customer to change to, you can see that it also shows what Corporate Rate Type is against them.
If you choose a new customer where the Corporate Rate Types do not match, you will see the message below. It is highlighting that you will need ot check the rates on the booking and re-calculate them if required.
