August 2024 - Discounts in Agent Direct
RCM has recently updated the Agent direct function to allow discounts to be applied to bookings. For information on what this is, please see the
Agent Direct Function article.
There are 3 types of discounts that can now apply through agent direct.
#1 - Agent Discounts
Each Agency and Agency Branch can have a specific discount applied to them. Then, any booking made by this Agent, or Agent Branch, will automatically have the discount applied. For more information on these, please see the
Setting up your Agency Database article.
#2 - Utilisation Rates
If you have utilisation rates set up in your system, these will now apply though Agent Direct. When the agent makes a booking, RCM will check the current utilisation of the Vehicle Category at the Pickup Location or Region, and automatically apply any relevant utilisation rate. #3 - Web Rate Discounts
The following system parameter can be found by going to
System Setup >> System Parameters >> Online Booking Parameters. When it is set to Yes, any Web Rate Discount that are setup in your system will apply though both the Agent API and the Agent Direct function. For more information on these discounts, please see the

Please note: Campaign Codes cannot be entered in Agent Direct, so it will only apply discounts without Campaign Codes against them.
