A system parameter has been added to the Booking Validation Parameters that allows the system to check whether a mobile phone number is valid. It will also convert any valid mobile number to the correct format for sending an SMS ( eg +61422222222)
This feature is useful for customers who use the SMS feature where a mobile number that follows the country code format is required
System Setup>System Parameters>Booking Validation Parameters:
note that this flag is set to "No" by default
When set to 'Yes' the system will check to see if the mobile phone number entered into the Drivers Details tab in the booking is valid for the country of the customer.
If it does not meet the standard format, an error message will display when you move from the Drivers Detail screen to the Booking Details screen.
If the mobile phone number is correct for the custmoer country (for example you enter 0499999999), it will change it to the format that includes the country code as below.
Note:
If a booking is made via your website or through an agent, the validation does not occur.
Validation will only occur if you are creating a new booking via the booking form in RCM
or
If you update a phone number in an existing booking in the booking form in RCM.
