Instant Notifications


Purpose


Instant Notifications allows sharing of general and business critical information across your organisation instantly.
Whether it be a customer or vehicle issue, a weather event, a business disruption or a simple birthday shout out, an instant notification can be sent to as many or as few employees as required based on access levels, locations and individual user logins. 


The notification icon displays at the top right of the RCM main menu bar.  The number of current notifications will display next to the icon as below.


Viewing  and Creating Notifications


When you first receive a new notification, the notification popup will appear on the bottom right of your screen as below, and the number next to the notification icon will increment by 1.
Once read, you can click on the X to close the popup.   
 

The notification will still appear in the current notifications list as below when you click on the notification icon.





From here you can
  1. Read all current notifications
  2. Delete a notification from this screen - click on the 'Delete/Bin icon' 
  3. View historical notifications from the last 30 days - click on 'View History' 
  4. Create a new notification - click on 'Create Notification'



View History
Clicking on View History will display a full list of recent Notifications - this includes notifications that you have deleted off your list.

Note that notifications will be removed from this list after 30 days



Create Notification
Clicking on Create Notification will open the following form

New notification recipients can be set at various levels
  1. Everyone
  2. Specific access levels ( Location Managers etc)
  3. Individual or multiple locations - Click on selected locations to  choose the required locations
  4. Individual or multiple users - Click on selected users to choose the required users



Click on 'Send Message' when done to send the notification
