Change Vehicle Registration
Purpose
The registration number on your vehicles can be changed at any time. The system will log the change when it occurs. The details of the change can then be viewed in the vehicle log (see below), and the Vehicle Registration Change Report.
When the registration number of a vehicle is changed, all past bookings will still be recorded against the old registration number, while future ones will be recorded against the new one.
Accessing the Change Vehicle Registration Function
You can access the Vehicle Registration Change function from: Vehicle Maintenance >> Vehicle Update
Changing the Registration Number
From the Vehicle Update List, select the 'Change Rego' button.
In the window that opens, replace the old Rego number with the new number and click on Submit. The vehicles registration number will now be changed, and this change will be logged against the vehicle.
To view the Vehicle Log
On the Vehicle Update screen, click on 'Access Details'. Then in the window that opens click 'View Vehicle Log'
The registration number change will display in the Vehicle log as shown below.
