There is a new feature within the Availability Engine in RCM. Placeholder Bookings set aside a time for a vehicle to be relocated between two locations. Placeholder Bookings prevent bookings from being made that will conflict with this reclocation but can be replaced by bookings with the same pickup and drop off locations, and an overlapping rental period.

Using this new Availability Engine Setting shown below, Placeholder Bookings can be made to secure a place in the schedule after the cancellation of a one-way booking to ensure that vehicles are relocated, and any subsequent booking pickups are not disrupted.
