Q: On my website some vehicle categories are not displayed - why is this?
A: If you are using the Web Site Module, vehicle categories will only be displayed if rates have been entered and vehicle availability has been setup.
Please see the steps below to check these requirements.
Step 1 - Checking that a rate is available
- Click on the System Setup menu. Now click on the Rates icon to view the rates page.
- Select the pickup location.
- Select the active season or choose the default rate and click on the 'View' button.
- The seasonal rates or default rate (depending on what you selected in the above step) will be displayed.
- Review the list of vehicle categories displayed to ensure that rates are available. If the category of vehicle is not displayed here with a rate then the vehicle category will not be displayed on your website.
Step 2 - Checking that a vehicle category has been made available to your website
- Click on the Website Interface menu. Now click on the Web Vehicle Categories icon.
Both of the screenshots displayed below must include the categories of vehicle required on your website.
- Check that the required vehicle categories have the 'Web Available' option set to 'Yes'.
- Now click on the Web Category Availability tab. From here select the pickup location and click on the 'Select' button. Check that the required vehicle category has a record displayed.
It is also important to note that the 'Status' of the vehicle category is either set to 'Available for booking' or 'Might be Available'. The 'Not Available' status will mean the corresponding vehicle category will not be displayed on your website.
