There has been a recent improvement inside RCM that now allows the extra daily charge for extended rentals to use the current/optimised rate from the MarginFuel pricing table.

The below system parameter can be found by going to System Setup >> System Parameters >> Rate Parameters:

When this parameter is set to No and a hired booking is extended, the extra days will be added on and charged at the original rate of the booking. This is the previous behaviour of all MarginFuel bookings.

When this parameter is set to Yes and a hired booking is extended, the extra days will be added as a separate rate line and will be charged at the current rate from the MarginFuel pricing table for those days. This is the new behaviour.

Please note: as MarginFuel does not find past-day rates, these extensions will need to be done while the extra days are in the future for the rates to apply properly.
