March 2024: Creating On Request Bookings
RCM now allows you to manually create On Request bookings.
When you create or update an Unallocated Booking in RCM, in the booking form you can set the type to Reservation, On Request, or Cancelled.
Setting a booking to On Request this way will make it behave the same as any other Onrequest booking in your system. When you switch between any of these three booking types, it will be recorded in the res log.
So, On Request booking can now be made when the booking:
- Is manually set to On Request.
- Applies against an On Request Web Category Availability record.
- Is made through the Web or Agent API and is an after-hours booking (if the relevant System Parameters are set to Yes)
- Is created without entering payment details (if the relevant System Parameters are set to Yes)
- Is a Quote that is converted by the customer (if the relevant System Parameters are set to Yes)
