Damage Type

Overview

Damage types refer to the type of damages that a vehicle may sustain during an accident.

Maintaining Damage Types

Damage types are maintained under the Damage Types tab of the Damage Management submenu in Vehicle Maintenance. The damage type records are used in the drop down options when adding or updating damage on a vehicle under damage management.



To Add a Damage Type

  1. Click Vehicle Maintenance
  2. Click Damage Management
  3. Click the Damage Type tab
  4. Click Add Damage Type
  5. On the New Damage Type page, enter the name of the damage type
  6. Click Submit to save your changes and close the New Damage Type page
    The damage type is now added to the Damage Type table




To Edit a Damage Type

  1. Click Vehicle Maintenance
  2. Click Damage Management
  3. Click the Damage Type tab
  4. Click the record you want to edit


To Delete a Damage Type

  1. Click Vehicle Maintenance
  2. Click Damage Management
  3. Click the Damage Type tab
  4. On the Damage Type table, click the red rubbish bin icon under the rightmost Delete column
  5. Click Yes on the confirmation message to delete the record
