Bookings Without Credit Card Or Token Expiry

Bookings Without Credit Card Or Token Expiry

Purpose

The "Bookings Without Credit Card or Token Expiry" report allows you to easily identify, view and update bookings that have no valid payment gateway card saved against them. It will identify if either there is no gateway card token, or the card saved against the booking will expire before the pickup date.
These are the bookings which require the addition of a new credit card, and this page has a feature which easily allows you to do this.

NOTE: As the Secure Credit Card payment gateway will be deprecated by the end of August 2025, this report also allows you to view bookings that only have cards saved in your payment gateway. This allows you to can collect new cards before the depiction of your payment gateway.

Displaying Bookings

This page allows you to filter bookings according to:
  1. The pickup location: only bookings with this pickup location will be shown
  2. The booking status which can be: All Bookings, Future Bookings Only, Hired or Returned: only bookings with this status will be shown
  3. The pickup date range: only bookings whose pickup date falls within this range will be shown.
  4. Include bookings that only have payment gateway cards: if selected, bookings which only have valid cards saved in your payment gateway will appear in the report as well.

Once the parameters have been entered, all bookings meeting the parameters will be displayed in the table.
  1. Bookings without credit gateway card tokens will have no information in the Token Removal Date or CC Expiry Date Fields.
  2. Bookings with expired cards in the gateways will display the expiry date of the card in the CC Expiry Date field.
  3. Booking which only have cards saved in your payment gateway will display your payment gateway deprecation date 31/Aug/2025 in the Token Removal Date field.

Additional Drivers with Tokens

You may come across situations in which you have a booking where the Primary Driver does not have a Credit Card or Rebilling Token against them, but the Additional Driver does. This can occur when:
  1. An existing customer with saved Rebilling Tokens against them is added as the Additional Driver of a booking
  2. The Primary and Additional Drivers are swapped on a booking with a rebilling token already saved against it.
In this situation, the booking will appear in the Bookings Without Credit Card or Token Expiry Report, but it will have a note against it to signal that the Additional Driver may have a valid Credit Card saved, as shown below.

Adding a Credit Card/Token

A credit gateway card token can be added by selecting the "Visa" icon in the payment column.
This will take you to the page shown below where you can either enter a new credit card by selecting "Add Card" or create a new payment by selecting "Create New Payment. From here, follow the instruction to complete the process. Taking a payment will create a new re-billing token.

Once a new credit card or re-billing token has been assigned to a booking, it will disappear from the table.

View Booking Details

From the "Bookings Without Credit Card Or Token Expiry" page, you can view the booking's details. This can be done by selecting the red Reservation Number to open up the Bookings Detail page.

On the Bookings Details page, the booking can be updated by selecting "Update." A new credit gateway card token can also be saved to the booking from here by selecting "New Payment," which will take you to the same page shown above.
